Pin a show

I like the feature on Netflix where I can pick up where I was watching a show. Even if I had already watched the show before. But Plex doesn’t do that. Is there a feature where I can pin a specific show so I don’t have to search for it or scroll through all my tv shows? I primarily use Rokus and Apple TV’s to watch my media.

there is no ‘pin’ a show or movie function.

for unwatched shows, the ‘on deck’ and ‘continue watching’ should function exactly as you expect.

unfortunately, for shows you have already watched, on deck does not work, however continue watching does (partially watched episode).

you have 2 options for work arounds;

  • you can ‘unwatch’ the whole series (or season(s)), then start watching again, then the next episode will show up again in ‘on deck’.
  • if for some reason you really really really don’t want to ‘unwatch’ a show, you can watch part of an episode, and it will remain in the ‘continue watching’.

from there, you would need to always make sure that you let at least part of an episode play (60+ seconds) for it to remain in the ‘continue watching’.

a third possibility, is to create a playlist, for which you can easily return to from the home screen ‘recent playlists’ hub.

As a workaround to this limitation, if you want a previously watched series to show in On Deck again, you can mark it as unplayed (and then watch an episode). I’m not sure that desirable in all circumstances, but it could work if it were your intent to watch an entire series again.

You might want to vote for this feature suggestion (probably could use some „promotion“)
