PIN unknown for only account available (which is not mine), admin PIN unknown so cannot create user. LG TV

The only profile available to sign into on my LG OLED55B7A Plex App is not mine. I do not know the profile’s PIN to sign in. I do not know the admin PIN which is required to create a new user profile. I’m fairly sure the person who created the profile is someone whom I have no way to get into contact with. Their profile has a lock sign and a crown sign next to them.

I have tried deleting the app, unplugging the TV, waiting a minute, plugging the TV back in, and reinstalling + launching the app - but the user profile is still there.

The user with the crown is the actual account holder here. It sounds like you were a Managed User really. It wasn’t your account in this case. You should go to plex.tv and make a new account under your own email.

As far as why this is keeping the same account signed in when you uninstall and reinstall the Plex app, that is a problem. You might need to do a full factory reset on the TV to clear the app info if the uninstall is not doing it.

Thanks. I did a full factory reset and was able to properly link my plex account to the plex TV app afterwards.
