PIP support MAC

Server Version#: 4.83.2
Player Version#: Latest
Hi,

Anyone has a solution to get Picture in Picture support so I can watch a tv serie while working on 1 screen without sacrificing half of my screen on my macbook.
With youtube the pip is perfect because just a little bock in the corner of my screen is sacrificed.
The web version doesn’t show me the PIP option because that would have been the easiest solution.

Sadly the best option for this is the Infuse client playing from Plex backend.

Neither the Mac App, Web App or iOS Beta App (it runs if you have an M1) offer PIP support.

Leaving two options, just to size the window to upper quarter or something similar with the normal app, or use a third party app like Infuse.

PiP works in Firefox on Windows.
I wonder if it does as well on Mac. How to use picture-in-picture in Firefox and Chrome on Mac

On ipad os I can get picture in picture by opening another app while watching something on plex.

Yes indeed, sadly this key feature is not available on MacOS.

PS - On iPad, you can tap this button also to go to PIP

If you have an M1 Mac you can download the iOS version from the App Store - that one has the button (looking at it right now)

Interesting, last time I checked with (and with the TestFlight beta) it didn’t show the PIP button, thanks for the tip.

Unsurprisingly the iOS app on MacOS M1 has a few other strange behaviours, for example if you are playing back on the non primary monitor, you don’t see any on screen navigation. However overall the experience is surprisingly good.

Its definitely there - though I do agree with you it is MORE THAN annoying having to use the iOS M1 app on a Mac when they could just release a proper M1 player (or actually fix the current Mac app which is broken to all hell currently).
