Plax TV Scanner missing descriptions

4.145.1 - Windows 10

For the show Kitchen Nightmares (US), none of the Season 8 episodes have any descriptions within Plex. I’m using the default Plex Scanner agent. Is there a website where I can go search the Plex database like I can thetvdb.com website to see if they’re just missing the info?

Here are the episodes there: Kitchen Nightmares (US) - Road to Super Bowl LIX - Season 8 - TheTVDB.com All of the one I click on have descriptions and other information just fine.

I guess this show has some sort of Season problem because EPGuides says the current Season is 9 while Sonarr and thetvdb say the current season is 8. Apparently some sites consider the first seasons as one 22 episode seasons while other sites consider it two seasons.

Anything I can do to get Plex to see the current seasons as 8 instead of 9 or do I need to change my settings to thetvdb instead?

From what I can find, only TheTVDb has listed that season as part of the same show.
On TMDb, the show ends with season 6 (and an orphaned record of a 1-season show Kitchen Nightmares: Road to Super Bowl LIX (TV Series 2025- ) — The Movie Database (TMDB), with a single episode but barely any metadata).

You could set the episode order in the Advanced tab of the show to TheTVDB (Aired) and refresh its metadata.
