where is plex getting the episode info for the TV show “Taggart” when using the Plex TV Series agent?
it has the episode descritptions wrong for episodes in Season 22, yet TheTVDB has the correct description.

this is just 1 example, but numerous have the wrong description even though they have the correct title.
edit - it looks like plex is taking the info from TheMovieDB, which has the wrong descriptions against each episode. is there way i can have my plex library use the the correct info without changing the agent?
If you name all of your shows according to the TVDB you can change the setting to use their show order for the whole library here
3 dots next to the library → Manage Library → Edit → Advanced
If you just want to change an individual show you can change it here
Click the pencil on the show poster and go to advanced
You may have to refresh the metadata after you make the change

the issue is that TheMovieDB has the episode descriptions wrong whereas TheTVDB has them correct, and plex has decided to use TheMovieDB info, which is wrong.
Looks like someone changed it yesterday on TMDB
You can try to refresh your metadata or try it tomorrow. Usually it takes 24-72 hours for Plex to pick up the changes but sometimes it happens pretty fast
yes i went in yesterday and updated the descriptions for that season on TheMovieDB, but it’s possible they are wrong for all the seasons, and gods know how many other TV shows.
however, still brings up the point of how Plex decides where it takes info from, and if it’s wrong how the end user can override that.
Similarly, I found that season 1 of Justice League (2001) was wrong in TMDB, but correct in TVDB.
I used the above method to select TVDB rather than TMDB for this series only. (I wonder why TMDB would be preferred over TVDB in general.)
This error has been a topic on the TMDB Justice League discussion for four years, but the admin over there won’t fix it.
