Play controls disappear when coming back from mini player

This issue is really frustrating. Whenever I need to resource to the mini player to check on a message or something, it takes a while for Plex to switch to the mini player, way longer than Netflix for example, but that’s fine. The issue is that when going back to the full player, there are no play controls anymore! there’s no way to play, pause, skip, nothing. not even close the freaking thing. the only way to get back to normal is to kill the app.

This is happening to me on 3 different devices, a Samsung tablet, a Oneplus phone and a Pixel 10.

Hello @conradseba, I have a similar issue with a temp work around. When I connect my Samsung phone to a USB touchscreen monitor while running PLEX, the controls disappear after a minute or two. I can get them back by swiping from the outside edge of the screen to the center (example swiping from the top, left, right, or down edge to the center of the screen). They reappear but they vanish again after the same time. Hopefully this helps until they release a fix.

In any case, yes, I hope they fix this bug. It also happens when I want to resume playback after switching to other apps. Plex doesn’t like it when you deviate your attention..

I’m not able to reproduce this. I see the controls coming back from the mini player.

So you see the controls in the mini player?

I forgot to mention a very important caveat to reproduce this behaviour, sorry, you need to pause the video in the miniplayer and then is when it happens.
Also, I tried Crispy87 workaround but it didn’t work for me, it just closes the video and goes back to Plex home :frowning:

Ok. I’m able to reproduce but only if I pause from within the mini player then bring up the full player.
