Play count not working over DLNA server

Server Version#: 1.42.1.10060

I had to delete and create a new library when I first started. Not a big deal. The thing is, I could have sworn that when I played music via the Plex DLNA server, it did increment the play counts. I think this was with the first library. Whatever the cause, music played via DLNA is not being counted now. I’ve scoured the setting and can’t find any settings that seem to control this behaviour.

If it matters, I’m using the Cambridge Audio MXN10 network streamer.

So how can I get my play counts to increment when I play music using the streamer? Plexamp streamed music is counted just fine.

It’s been some time since I’ve disabled DLNA on my server.
Do you have Settings > [Server Name] > DLNA > DLNA server timeline reporting enabled on your system? I don’t remember if this is only used to track progress or also to report completion (updating the play count).

I do have that enabled. The description seems to indicate it deals with video, but regardless, it seems not to be my problem.
