So, I have the Alexa Skill and usually it works fine playing my music. But often it refuses to recognize a band or album name and I can’t play it. Very frustrating. Is there a way to go on my phone or computer and tell it to play something on my Alexa Echo?
Sadly no but I’d love it if it did. Alexa is really clunky

Alexa is essentially like a remote client. The Alexa skill lives in the cloud at Amazon. That is why remote access needs to be enabled.
If it has bluetooth you may be able to play to it that way but would be like any Bluetooth speaker and not using the features of Alexa at all.

That’s what I figured.
Hopefully, the Skill is made more robust eventually.
