Play history incorrect (it says I watched a movie but i was playing music through Plexamp)

Hi, I noticed something strange the other day. I was driving home from work, listening to my ‘Friday’ playlist using Plexamp on my iPhone. The last song I finished before I parked at home was Howlin’ Wolf - How many more years. When I sat down in front of my computer later that evening, I checked my play history in Plex web app. I noticed that the Howlin’ Wolf track was not registrered as played. Instead it said that I had watched the movie ‘Dirty pretty things’. The time stamp matched the time I was listening to my music, and it also said that I was using my iPhone. Anyone seen this before?

Hey now - yup also getting this issue. My history says I have been watching TV shows but have been listening to music on Plexamp.

I honestly have no explanation for this one.

If you run into it again, share your server logs for the time period, it should show play progress being registered.

I have been seeing a similar issue but not related to playing music.

I have a TV series of 10 episodes downloaded and recognised correctly by Plex. When I played the first episode Plex decided that all other episodes except episode 10 had been played. When I marked episode 2 as unplayed all the other episodes came up marked as unplayed without me doing anything else, including episode 1 which had been played. When I checked the play history all episodes 1-9 were shown as played at the exact same time as episode 1.

Since then every episode I play does exactly the same thing. Episode 10 has remained marked as unplayed throughout. I have not seen on any other TV series.

Hi there

This happened again yesterday. I was out on a hike and listened to music on my iPhone. The music was downloaded to my phone before I left my home.

Again it is the movie Dirty Pretty Things which shows up in my play history. Don’t know why this happened again, all I know for sure is that I did not watch 4 minutes of this movie during my hike :slight_smile:

I use the latest version of Plexamp.

sure, would love to see server logs for the period in question, as well as plexamp logs.

This happened to me today, downloaded a 4 hour mix. Played some, however Plex Server states that I played episodes of NCIS New Orleans.
Any thoughts?
