Some users I share Plex with shows as watching media but nothing shows up in their play history?

Play history only records completely watched items. If you mean the new user-based history, users can opt not to show it to others.

Maybe it was watched 2-3 times. (There were also some bugs in the past which resulted in multiple watched event being recorded in the history.) Which history are you referring to? There are 2 very distinct ones.

I see that this is the old history in the server dashboard. It is not the most reliable and has some quirks. If you want a more reliable one,consider using Tautulli.

So has this issue been fixed in Plex since April 2024? I get my daughter texting me all the time to download new movies, I am at a stage saying to her you are not watching them and she says she does but doesn’t show up in her history. do you have a link to download Tautulli? and I will have a play…
