Play Live TV not an option on other Users

I have the Plex Pass for life… my master account shows play live tv and it works. when i try to give access to the additional users, that option is not available. I have gone to the restriction option and that option is missing. my software
is up to date everything is working fine, just that issue. anyone that can let me know what i can do get that option.

@pnpalacios - Are they “Shared” users, with their own Plex accounts? Or are they “Home” users, those accounts that use PINs to connect to your server within your household that don’t require a plex.tv login?

If Shared, there is no way to allow them to access Live TV.

I was about to ask the same thing. I created a new user on my Plex server (not a shared user), and I do not see any of the Live TV options on that user.

@CanadaBri and @pnpalacios - What server version are you running?
How are you accessing your server’s settings?

I can confirm I’m seeing some differences between using http://my.local.pms:32400/web settings and https://plex.tv/web settings.
I’m running server 1.10.1.4561 (old, but I remain a few behind purposely)
If I go to local.ip/web - the web interface version is 3.27.1 - and if I manage home users there, I have NO option for Live TV.
If I go to plex.tv/web - the web interface version is 3.32.2 - and if I manage home users there, I have the option for Live TV that states

Allow access to Live TV
Enabling this option will allow this user to access Live TV streams. It requires a library on the Plex Media Server that has DVR configured to be shared with the user.

I presume the possible options below are causing the issue.

  1. Running older server versions that do not include the option in web.
    OR
  2. Plex server as of latest plexpass 1.11.0.4633 version includes web 3.32.1, and Plex has not yet made a release that includes 3.32.2 that may include the option.

Recommendations - Update to latest server version if using older. If that doesn’t fix it, use plex.tv/web for settings adjustment until such time Plex makes a new download release.
