Play Local Media Files from Windows 7 on Apple TV?

Hi Guys,

I would like to know I have a MKV Movie file on my Windows 7 Laptop and at the same time I have a 4K Apple TV and I have some Airplay Speakers like the JBL L8 and the Apple Homepods.

Can I do this ? Can I upload the MKV file from my Windows 7 Laptop on a y Plex Windows Server Online or using a Software that resides on Windows 7 Laptop and then download the Plex Server APP on Apple TV and then watch that Movie in Apple TV and stream the Audio form Apple TV using my Airplay Speakers.

Please advise.

Running a server on a Windows machine and watching on an Apple TV is not a problem

But…
Plex Media Server 1.31.3.6792 was the last version to support Windows 7

I’m not sure I’d love a Windows 7 machine connected to the internet anyway

So isn’t there any solution for my kind of set up that Plex can offer ?

PlexMediaServer-1.32.0.6973 just came out

I don’t think Windows 7 is an option.

Any web application or web server of the Plex Server that I can use in this case ? Which is online and not residing on My local achine ?

You can just get a free account without actually installing the server software.

Plex does have tv, movies and live tv for free with ads

I want to be able to play my movie library on Apple TV and stream audio on Airplay speaker that is the whole.point of coming to Plex for solution.
