Play/Pause button on ATV 4k remote doesn't work on Plex

Hi all,
I have the issue that while playing videos with Plex on my ATV 4k the Play/Pause button doesn’t work. I can pause the video with the central touch and click field but not with the Play/Pause button. This happens very frequently but not all the time. In some rare cases the Play/Pause button works as expected.
Anyone an idea?

Are using the remote that came with the Apple TV?

What version of the Plex app do you have installed?

Have tried any of the following:
Restarting the app?
Power cycling the Apple TV?
Uninstalling and reinstalling the app?

My Plex for ATV version is 2.16 (1) and yes, I use the original remote that came with the ATV 4k.

What I tried:

  • Restarting the app: yes

  • Power cycling the ATV: yes

  • Re-installing the app: no, do you think it makes sense?

I’ll do some testing today and see if I can replicate if you want to wait before reinstalling.

BTW: I have an additional Harmony remote, with this one the play/pause button works all the time…?!

Yeah that’s what I use as well and don’t have any issues.

I assume no other app has this issue with the actual play/pause button on the Apple TV remote?

Right, no other App has the problem.

So I’ve done some testing, one each of a TV show and movie. I can’t replicate this issue at all… I’m also running the latest Apple TV beta so it’s possible that it won’t be an issue in the next release…

Not sure what else to do at this point?

Thanks a lot for working on this during easter weekend.
As it doesn’t hamper me too much I think I’ll wait for the next update and see whether the problem is gone or not.
