Play/Pause not responding

If I start a video, it won’t pause. If I hit the menu button to exit the video then select play again, the pause button now works. I’ve noticed this since tvOS 11.

Same issue as well. If I click the trackpad to pause the video then I can start using the Pause/Play button again. If I don’t then the play/pause button doesn’t do anything b

I can also confirm this issue.

I can confirm this issue too.

Same issue

Confirmed for me as well. I also notice a stutter when first starting most videos or resuming from playback where it jitters / jumps back a frame or two. If I exit the video (due to the pause / play bug), I can resume where I left off, unless it was within the first minute or last few minutes where it thinks its just begun / close enough to being over.

confirmed since TVOS 11

Same issue here.

And here I thought my Siri remote was starting to go… yes I’ve got the same issue.

I am seeing the same thing

Same issue.

Why is this marked as Answered? I see no answer to this question in this thread.

Do any of you have a case for your remote? I removed mine when the remote wasn’t working and it seemed to help. Not sure if it was a coincidence.

Same problem here on 2 separate devices.

This is just how Vanilla (the forum platform we use) does this. When someone replies, its marked in gray as “answered,” but this really is more like just saying a question has been replied to. It will be marked in green as “Answered” when the original poster marks one or more of the replies as the best answer.

I’m working on reproducing this issue. What version of the beta are you all on? Apple TV 4th gen (1080p model) or the new 4K model?

Please try updating your beta to version 1.19, which was released today.

Not seeing 1.19 in TestFlight, are we still waiting for Apple approval?

Sorry, I mistyped. 1.18 is the current beta. 1.19 is being tested internally and coming soon to beta. That should have the fix for this, so stay tuned

For the time being, a force quit and re-launch of the Plex app on Apple TV should help as a temporary workaround.

I am having similar issue tapping the movement button still works though.
