i have my series library on my web its ok playing the theme music but on my devices ( amazon fire box and my lg tv or ps4 have not playing nothing i don’t know why , any ideas to fix this problem?
Automatic playback of ‘theme’ music must be enabled in the preferences of the Plex client on every single device.
The preference under in the Plex Web (Settings - Web - General - ‘Play Theme Music’) only applies to this particular web browser.
Right now TV theme music does not seem to be implemented on most clients. I know it cannot be turned on in the Roku, Fire TV, Raspberry PI (Using PMP) and I cannot find a setting for it in Android.
I have it on pretty good authority that it is “coming” in the future but if it is in the “breathing hard” stage or just on a first date is unknown by me.
As far as your LG TV or PS 4 goes someone familiar with those devices will have to chime in but I would doubt that a feature that has yet to be implemented would show up there first.
Some of the older client software (Like RARflix on Roku or the classic Roku channel and I think the old Fire TV app) had the ability to optionally play theme music but the new clients have not had that added back, yet.
I would think Plex will put it in for all the clients at some point. But I would also think it is pretty low priority as not having it does not reduce “functionality” for anyone. Not having it only reduces “fun” for some.

Sorry, I forgot about the recent switch on the FireTV platform.
Rasplex and OpenPHT still have the option to play theme music.

Yes, those come under the heading of “older client software.” Both of those are unsupported by Plex and could, at any time or never, become inoperative because of a server change.
I am not saying that people should not use those but they should be aware of the risks. Personally I use RARflix, which also is “older client software” that runs on Roku, when I watch at night. I use it because it has the ability to filter by multiple genera at the same time.
Even though those do work I cannot really recommenced their use for most people because of the problems that could crop up when they die. Most people are better off using directly supported software.
IMHO you’re talking complete b0110cks.
Toe the party line if you want but don’t insult the Dev’s of non official clients.
Neither Rasplex and OpenPHT are ‘old client software’, both are actively being developed and are quickly moving to Kodi Isengard/Jarvis, something that Plex said couldn’t be done.
