Playback choppy/not smooth on Shield Pro Plex

Hello hello

Really hoping somebody can help me with an issue: when I play videos on Plex using the Shield, it does not look smooth. Especially movements (people walking) looks unnatural/choppy. Playing same video on the TV Plex app works fine.

Setup: Video content (Plex Media Server) on desktop PC andwith wired gigabit connection (speedtest: 900Mbps). My Shield Pro 2019 is connected to my LG C8 tv with HDMI 2.1 and also wired (speedtest: 600Mbps).

I have tried resintalling Plex and changing frame rates.

Any & all direction would be great! Thanks

for what it’s worth, I get this problem when I play back 25fps content as my tv doesn’t support it so I get the pulldown stutters. to that end, are you able to verify that the shield actually is changing frame rates to match the content?

Thanks for the reply! This seems indeed to have solved it: Enabling automatic refresh rate switching in Plex (which is set to off by default)
