For starters Sorry if this is posted in the wrong spot, I’m new to all this, feel free to move if required.
I’m Getting the for mentioned error, when I try to play a particular file through the plex app on my Xbox X (Its a .MKV , Main 10 File), but other files of the same type play without dramas. It also plays perfect if I’m on my Sony smart tv, its a little strange, I have tried app reinstall and allowing insecure connections ( Changed both the settings in the app and server side) but nothing works.
I properly should have started by saying accessing the server is not a problem, all settings are setup so I can watch both locally and remote 4k movies (Direct Stream/Play). Not sure how long its been like this I usually watch straight through the tv, but have recently brought a home theatre setup and want to watch my movies with Dolby Atmos that the Xbox provides.
I’ve also had a friend that access my server remotely, tell me he is now having the same problem, he can access the server, but no matter what movie he tries to play he is getting this same error or saying something about media not compatible ( Even movies he has watched before are no longer working) he’s on a Samsung Smart tv, not sure about the the client Version or model of the tv as he is out at the moment. I also cant tell you when he first started experience this problem as he has not accessed my Server for over a month prior.
Edit: I have tried updating the Plex Server to the latest the beta Version:1.24.5.5173, still seems broken on my end. Also i mucked up the server version at the top, the version listed there is for my pc, I forgot to change tabs in the setting pages
Sorry for the long winded post, but any help would be greatly appreciated.
