I noticed this issue happening a week ago on an Apple TV, a 2020 version Roku Ultra, and a TCL Roku TV but have not experienced the same on Windows 10 PCs on a Chrome browser. Streaming users have been experiencing buffering issues as well.

Server Platform (Windows, Linux, etc): Linux
Server Version: 4.51.1 from the server path. 4.52.1 from app.plex.tv
Client Platform: Roku Ultra (2020 version)
Client Version: 6.7.9.6822
Filetype of Media you’re trying to play (.mkv, .mp4, .mov, etc): .mkv and.avi
Screenshot where it shows “No Playable Items” - Do I really need to prove I’m getting this message with a picture? I promise it’s showing up on all the devices I mentioned.
Tried two movies that failed. The Avengers (2012).avi and Avengers Infinity War (2018).mkv in that order.
Also tried Avengers Endgame (2019).mkv between them which was failing last night but appeared to be loading as expected this time.
Looking at your logs it appears to be timeouts. is it possible to get the server and app logs at the same time covering the same failed attempt. Want to compare the two with the same request.
(it might be worth optimizing database before you do)
A timeout seems kind of odd. I’m barely taxing my server so it seems weird that it would struggle to play any movies.

Tried the same two movies. The Avengers (2012).avi and Avengers Infinity War (2018).mkv in that order. I have optimized the database several times since this has started happening.
I am having the same issue. The fun caveat is that the file will play perfectly fine from the web interface, and Andriod. But trying to play it on my Roku I get the “There are no playable items” error.
It also appears slightly random. For instance I was able to play a different media file without issue, but then went back and failed at the original media mentioned above. Went back to the second file and it would not play now either. After closing the app and then restarting it I was back where I started.
So then I tried playing the file on my phone using the Android app. Works no problem. So I tell it to cast to the Roku, and eventually I get an error “Please check that this file exists and the necessary drive is mounted.” I can then go back to the Android app and stop casting, hitting “Yes” to continue playback on the android device and it starts right up with no issues.
I’ve checked permissions on the files, they are all fine especially since it is playing in other Plex apps. And have run Optimization, and Analyzed the database & library respectively. I’ve also deleted the Roku Plex app and re-added it with no luck. Plex Media Server Logs_2021-05-07_13-09-48.zip (1.2 MB)
@murfman can you get the roku logs covering the same event as the server logs. Please use the “local device logging” method to get Roku Logs | Plex Support
If you start the media on a laptop, let it run long enough to be added to the In Progress items, and then try it again on your Roku, it’ll usually play for me. Unfortunately I haven’t heard from anyone in support after my last post so I’m assuming I won’t.
@BigWheel I redid it. The first movie file would not play. Then I started a TV episode without problem, cancelled the play and went to play that first file again. Now it works. Go to a second movie file, and then a third, none of which work on the Roku, but would on the web interface.
Was this closed with no resolution? I am having the same issue. Works on anything but y Roku player same message about no playable items. When I go to check the server it says it is not available remotely (though I can play the same file with the browser.) I tell it to reconnect and it works again for a while but comes up again eventually.
