Best best best thanks!!!

I´ll try…

just tested… see please my screenshot… it happens again…

I believe you had already updated to that version as the logs you sent me earlier (captured at 09:06 am) were relating to Live TV streaming on Plex for Windows version 1.62.2.3451-fb8ac0ae

You mentioned

i have streamed live-tv over night without errors.

So the fix is working.

The errors you are getting now do not appear to be related to the bug that was fixed

I have been looking at the logs you captured from the server at 09:06 am

They show a remote windows PC accessing the Synology Plex Media Server and streaming DVR Live TV. The streaming was using Plex for Desktop version 1.62.2

I can see that initially it was streaming channel 534 (Welt) and then at 08:30 am switched to channel 530 (n-tv)

I can see that the Plex for Desktop app stopped the streaming at 09:03:02
There is no indication from the server side of any error at the time. However, it appears that the server was taking longer than normal to deal with the requests. From the logs, it appears that normally a periodic timeline playback state update request from the app to the server was taking 8ms to complete - but when the issue arose - the request took over 1 second to get processed - this was at 09:03:02

It is obvious as to why requests were taking a second to complete rather than few milliseconds. Also it is not clear if this delay caused the error you got reported by the Plex for Windows desktop app

Will need to get diagnostic logs from the Plex for Desktop app as well as the server side.

Also establish if the issue arises when locally streaming within the local network or only when remote through an internet connection
And if the issue is confined to the Plex for Desktop app or also arising on the hosted Plex Web app (https://app.plex.tv/desktop)

The location of the Plex for Desktop app logs are given on this article Plex for Windows/Mac/Linux Desktop App Logs | Plex Support

hi

thanks for the detailed information

it´s happend again. i have send you the logs

it was 15:50 h n-tv

it happens from remote but also local

i have installed the latest plex server for synology, also installed the actual plex for windows app, too

I have been looking at your logs and I can see some delays in handling requests for the Live TV DV requests to your Synology DS218Play NAS

It is very possible that the NAS you selected is just not powerful enough for what is being required

See our support article and the linked spreadsheet

An update - DVR LiveTV playback errors remained after @sync_keylock replaced the NAS with ASUSTOR AS6602T

I have been unable to reproduce the errors in my Mac OS / Windows platforms environment

The issue may be relating to specific DVR channels. We now have a capture of the channel stream and together with the logs from the Desktop app and the server, have been referred to the development team

@sync_keylock As you indicated that the issue does not arise with the Plex HTPC app, could you, in the meantime, switch to using the Plex HTPC app instead of the Plex Desktop app for DVR Live TV streaming

@sa2000 Thank you for the message.
Reluctantly…
I don’t like Plex HTPC. I find the operation of the keyboard annoying.

I will see if we get some information added to our support articles

I tried it myself and did encounter a problem where it was not obvious what to do on the laptop when HTPC ended up with livetv being in top corner

What I needed to do here is reselect the channel from the guide to switch back to livetv on the whole screen

Should i do something?

Hope both issue (Plex for Mac & Playback session stop) could be fixed.

If HTPC is allowing you to stream these DVR Live TV channels, then suggest you yse Plex HTPC and familiarize yourself with its user interface and get to know the product.

So the problem is no longer searched for? @sa2000

The issue you raised was referred to the development team and is in the backlog of issues to be looked into. I do not know when that will happen. Of course - if other users report the same issue then it would help getting it higher priority

Hi @sa2000

what can be the reason and which fix can help:
It’s about the error message: Playback error This live TV session has ended.
It always happens on the top of the minute, e.g. 10:05, 10:10; 10:20, 10:30, 10:40 or e.g. 12:05, 12:10: 12:15 etc.

Are there setting options for the date and time that might cause this?

Don´t you have any idea, perhaps, please?
