Hello folks. I have been getting this error message on about the last 01:30 mins of whatever I watch on my LG Plex app. It can be a movie or a series, does not matter. This has been going on for a few months and is really annoying. I have tried lots of things:

Delete Plex completely from my TV and the Media Server from my Mac and re-install. No fix.

Clear all cache - no fix

Download on a new computer - no fix.

The web ver on my Mac works fine, just problems on the TV app.

Worked completely fine a while ago, then after an update it just went wrong. I have an LG C2 55" and used the app from the WebOS store.

Insecure connections are always preferred and no auto sync of library is active. I even tried to change the name of my folders as suggested by someone on reddit, but no help.

Everything is up to date and after an update a few months ago, I now have to watch almost the entire episode or movie and watch the end on my Mac due to this problem. Please tell me what to do.

Hi. Could any of you please look into this? No response here and still an occurring problem.

Can you enabled logging to server in the LG app then when you see the issue again grab your server logs so I can make a report.

Here. Hope it helps! Just went into an episode and it happened again in the last 1-ish minutes.

This is an old server log that should also have a good amount of data.

Here is the latest one that happened just a few mins ago. Please do something

Hi again. Don’t want to bother you folks, but just want to make sure a report is filed for this and a solution is being worked on. Been months for me with this issue before I made this post and I’m still waiting for any further feedback or update.

We are still looking into it. I did forget to ask you if it happens when the file is direct playing. based on your logs and other past reports of this in LG platform 8.x this is something to due with how the server is transcoding for that device

Thank you. It does not happen when using the native Plex app on our Philips tv. Only the LG

Seems like I have the same issue with my 42" LG C2.
My LG C9 seems to be unaffected by this issue.
@BigWheel , can I provide any additional information about this issue? For example I can give you a link to the file that consistently causes that issue in the same spot.
There is more info:

Hey guys. Updated the server and my problem still persists.

Any news on when this could be fixed? Quite an annoying problem that has lasted many months - soon a year. Uploaded my newest Media Server Log after the update to show the problem is still there.

Thanks for looking in to it!

Hey again, anything new? Did not get a respond on my last message.

Would you @MLM99 or @fox_1047 provide a sample file for us to try reproduce with?

I’ll be able to provide a sample on a weekend. Should I provide a link to it here or send link somewhere else?

@morganj Here is a link to the episode I experienced the problem with and should also be in the Server log I provided 7 days ago.

It starts crashing in the last 40+ seconds of the episode. Does not happen on computer, only on the LG tv. Have tested on another tv, but the problem did not occur on that one. (Philips tv). Please check it out.

@morganj here is a link to one of the episodes i can reproduce this issue with. Error occurs 40 seconds before the end of an episode when subtitle burn in turned on.
Currently my client version is 5.87.1 and platform version is 8.3.0. Server version is 1.40.5.8921
Issue only happens on my LG C2 OLED TV. LG C9 TV is unaffected for example.

@BigWheel @morganj Hey again. Any updates?

Sorry I do not have an update.

@BigWheel @morganj

Hi again. In that case I hope at least that something is being done or will be done about this as this seems to affect only the LG C2 model and not the older ones or newer ones. If not, it’s almost the same as having to just give up or buy a new tv.

I will keep on sending Media server logs if needed. Just let me know how I can help.
