Log from most problematic secondary server DS1815+ is attached.
Thumbs associated with jpg images are all dark (no little image of the photo).
Latest 1.23.4.4712 did not corrected this problem.
Also there is a years long issue with the dashboard indicator.
When playing videos, moving or photos and then you stop watching them, they are still indicated as currently still played - finally, after few minutes they will disappear from the dashboard indicator.

Thanks for your input.
These all are valid jpg images.
No any problem opening these image files as photos in Win10 or on IPad.or IPhone.
And these are not some new images.
Existed in my lib since 2019 and under Plex worked as a charm 6 or 8 Plex server versions down.the hill.
Photo lib was created few years ago and was working fine as well.
Also this should be the easy to use just by storing jpg photos without the need of renaming files etc.
And it worked fine up to some point.
The funny thing is, that now, most of these images (except one) I can open on DS1819+ but at least 10 of these images will fail to open on secondary DS1815+ server.
Same setup and same plex version on both servers.
Perhaps they changed definition of a valid image?
But I will doubt, because what is “good” for DS1819+ should be “good” for DS1815+ as well.
And here is a proof that image is fine (shows OK on DS1819+ but not on DS1815+.
The issue is rather why Plex log is lying but before was not lying?
And why is lying more when DS1815+ is concerned.???
And of course, Who and When forced Plex log to lye about images?
Can you PM me 1 “good” file and 1 “bad” file, so I can test? Let me know which is which.

This on is GOOD on both servers.
Another funny one.
This one generated nice thumbnail with nice small image but will not play on both servers - not giving even some error message.
The latest comments regarding BAD & GOOD refers to displaying on Win10/Edge.
PM me the actual files. The forums does things to the images you upload so they are not the same if I download them.

I got your files and installed onto an 1815+ and they work just fine for me. Can you share the library with those photos with me? It might not be your server but something else, maybe with your browser.
I did some additional testing.
First, I deleted all pictures from my photo library on DS1819+
Copied images (same images) from by backup server DS1815+ back to DS1819+.
Than I deleted all images on backup and copied photos back from main server.
In process I damaged my lib because it was set to show pictures by date added, but it will be manageable to correct.
Anyway, I ended up with the same photo images on both servers.
I did this to have consistent picture of what is going on. with photos handled by Plex.
I ended up with 12 (same issue on both servers) images that had dark thumbs and will not play on both servers.
All other “valid” images out of 334 were fine and there was no problem with playing any of this images.
I sent you 3 of these “not valid images” (black thumbs).
Can you test these 3 on your DS1815+
If you will ended up with the same dark thumbs, I might know what is causing this.

I’m having issues when trying to enlarge photos from my DS920+ running plex version 1.23.3.4707-6000. The image thumb nail appears, but the photos will not enlarge. Showing an error message “unable to load photo”. The client devices (PC, Firestick, Apple TV, Iphone) all shows the same message. Any idea on how to fix this issue? Any suggestions?
