Playback errors - windows clients - "This live tv session has ended"

I’m hoping someone has an answer for this.
I recently setup a xTeVe server and have tried integrating it with Plex. It works perfect with the web app, the ios app and the android mobile and tv apps. But trying to use the windows player or the HTPC player, I get errors.

With the plex for windows, the player shows the error “Playback error: This live tv session has ended”.

With HTPC, the player shows the error “Playback error: Recording Failed. Please check your tuner or antenna.”

The console also has a few errors when trying to play from these players.

As I mentioned, it works fine on all the other clients. I have tried both buffering and direct connect on xTeVe, as well as different channels and resolutions. I have also tried turning on and off direct streaming on the plex client itself.

I will attach both the player debug log and the plex media server log to this post.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated! I had this working a couple years ago, so perhaps you can’t do this anymore?

Without reading your logs and just the general setup you have it’s probably because your Live TV streams have AAC audio and the Plex App for Windows has a known bug that causes the failure. Transcode your streams audio to AC3 and it will work.

That was the issue.
Transcoding the streams audio to AC3 and everything works now.
