Playback fails with "Conversion failed. The transcoder failed to start up."

One mp4 won’t play in Plex Player or in a web browser. It plays using mpv from the command line and VLC GUI. It looks like it can’t find the file but I don’t know.

Plex is struggling with this file when attempting to convert as well. “There was a problem converting 1 item. Check the status in Optimized Versions Settings.”

I removed the movie and its directory. Cleaned bundles and optimized the database, then restarted Plex and added the movie and its directory and the issue remained.

One thing… The volume is full. 10TB with only 26GB remaining. But it passes tests and I haven’t seen a playback issue until this one.
