After this latest server update the plex app on samsung smart tv using plex pass to skip credits the plex player freezes after the credit scenes have been skipped and will not return to the main plex menu/Home Screen.

I get a black screen and plex will not respond and cannot exit the app. To get back to the menu I have to return to the smart hub using my remote then tab over the plex app on the smart hub then select a plex show on the smarthub which then takes to that show and I from there I can get back the plex main page.
I went into plex experience setting on the samsung plex app and checked the box to stop animations etc., then replayed the video and it did not freeze. Unfortunately that setting disables plex pass and it will no longer skip intro’s or credits.
We cannot reproduce the problem here on any of our devices. Could you try uninstalling the app and reinstalling again? (don’t do reinstall if that’s an option, do an uninstall and reinstall separately). If that doesn’t work, enable Log to Server in the app and reproduce the issue, and then send the logs again as the logs you added above do not include the client logs.
thank you for the quick reply; I did as you suggested and uninstalled and reinstalled the plex app for Samsung tv and that fixed the issue. I had tried reinstalling the app with no luck. I will avoid reinstalling going forward and instead will uninstall/reinstall if needed in the future.
This happens to me, but only started after I changed it to skip Intro automatically and play next episode immediately (0 seconds timeout between episodes) in case this helps you debug it…
Unfortunately reinstalling the Plex app was a temporary fix and the same freezing issue started again after I played a new show that didn’t have a following episode. The autoplay countdown is set to immediately.
