Samsung app keeps freezing - 5.1.0

Player Version#: app version in Samsung settings 5.1.0 (client version 5.1.3 in Plex)

Plex keeps freezing when trying to play a video from my server (laptop) and also just randomly, e.g. when changing clock to 24h, enable log to media server, reset app, etc.
Can’t do anything. Do know how to provide more logs…

Have reinstalled, have deleted and installed again, to no avail

Seeing this issue also. UHD 4k Samsung TV 2019 65 inch. Have to pull power from the TV to get Plex app to work again. Plex Server Version 1.20.1.3252

So does unplugging the TV work? Haven’t tried that yet. Just switched off and on

I was able to get it to respond after unplugging and re-plugging the TV

I’m having the exact same issue on my Samsung smart tv. Within last week or 2, it’s started to freeze. Have to unplug tv to fix. Plex please fix!!!

Having the same issue as well with the Q95T. Please help

My issue went away after switching off the power of the TV. Now it’s back to normal and working

For me it keeps happening every time after a few minutes playing a video.

If you dont know. If a app locks up/freez on samsung tv you can just hold down the back button on the remote several seconds and the app will be killed. If this does not help you can reboot the TV by hold down the powerbutton on the remote until a samsung logo appears (take about 2-5 seconds)

Thank you. Pulling power was the only way I could fix this.

Same version also hangs on me but those tricks make it manageable.

I should mention I’m running Version 1.19.5.3112 server.

When the plex logo is stuck on the screen, does pressing the directional buttons on the remote make the clicking sound? You’ll need to turn it on in settings first if it’s off. You might also need to wait a couple minutes before you hear clicking.

I’m having the same problem. Plex app in the TV is useless. Most of the time won’t even load.
I have to remove power from the TV to force it to reboot and then the app starts working again, but after some time it gets slow I have to reboot the TV again.

I’m running Plex Server 1.21.1.3795-ee64ab56f (on Debian on a 6-core CPU with 16 GB on RAM).
The TV is Smart TV SUHD 4K Series 9 (UN55KS9000FXZX).

The TV is connected via Ethernet to the same switch where the comptuer running Plex is connected to.
