Playback is freeze-framing but audio continues

When playing a movie, at some random interval (sometimes a few seconds, sometimes a few minutes later) the playback freezes while the audio continues to stream. This seems to have started happening with the latest update.
Exiting the movie and re-starting (at the same point) starts showing video again, but problem occurs again later.
