I have my movies stored on an wireless HDD and have my Windows laptop as the server. I normally Chromecast movies via the ios app with no issues. However, I got an external .srt subtitle for one movie the other day and have had terrible playback issue with it. Most of the time it says ‘unable to cast’ and on my phone it says something went wrong and to try again later. Sometimes it says that playback was stopped by the server because of a transcoding error. When I stop the subtitle the movie plays with no issue. My question is, is this a common issue with external subtitles or did I download a bad file? Thanks…
