I’m able to fast forward an in progress recording in the media
player on windows 10.
Thanks for testing. I just tried again. As always, every FF attempt starts playback from beginning. I tried from PMP and web interface. Same problem.
I’m now having the problem too. Well I guess I always had it but what I didn’t realize is that some channels I can watch while being recorded some I cannot. I only tested a handful. TBS, TNT, and ESPN all let me watch TV that’s being recorded and FF and rewind through it and all that. My regional sports network does not. Have you all tried using different channels to see if you have the same thing. Any idea if the plex engineers are aware of this? Maybe they can’t reproduce it because the channels they use work.
What format are these broadcasts in? Mine are all Mpeg 2 recoded as .ts files. These are all from OTA Antenna?
Not sure, where does it show that information? I have an HD home run prime with a TV Tuner card
On any completed recording hit the 3 dots and “get info” from the PMS.
Now I’m really really confused. I’m positive yesterday I was able to fast forward and rewind and in progress recording on ESPN. Just now I tried to do that on ESPN again but a different program and it wouldn’t work. It’s not like my setup is just broken now as I’m still able to fast forward and rewind other recordings that I test out. The in progress recordings I am able to do that for are mainly Mpeg2 but also I have some that are H.264 that work too
