Playback on the Roku UItra is still a mess...

I started a thread over this issue (these issues) in the Roku sub-forum over a month ago, but it isn’t getting any traction despite others reporting the same problem(s) … and I’m frustrated that the current top-end Roku device isn’t really usable.

How do I get the Plex folks to get this Roku Ultra issue sorted?

Original thread: https://forums.plex.tv/discussion/297064/rewinding-or-fastforwarding-on-roku-ultra-makes-plex-server-unresponsive-forcing-restart/p1

Bumping this because these issues are still present and after a month of trying to sort through and work around these issues, the lack of comment from Plex isn’t helpful.

We have been using Plex via Roku since the very first Roku device and it always just worked, but not any more as Plex is now completely unreliable if you have Roku’s top-end device.

There was a reply on this thread yesterday from a dev =)

Also, i have had no issues with my Roku Ultra, I have played content that was both 5.1 and 7.1 as well as 1080p and 4k with no issues. Rewind and Forward work fine for me, and absolutely no lag from the server with responsiveness.

Since your original thread is still active, there’s no need to duplicate it here, so I’m closing this for now. If your other thread stops receiving comments, let me know and I will reopen this.
