Ever since I started ‘casting’ to Sonos around a year ago I’ve had an issue where usually where I start playing a track it will stop after around 10 to 20 seconds or so. The ‘player’ seems to close then reopen in the client. I use Plexamp for iOS mostly but the issue also happens on an Android client I have.
The problem has persisted through client/server versions, and my Sonos devices are always up to date. I now have Move, Arc and Fives and all have the issue (Arc and Fives are connected via Ethernet). Once playback gets going it doesn’t dropout.
Any pointers? Happy to help troubleshoot, can run network captures etc.
Just captured a video of what happens. Another annoyance is captured here too - often the volume of the speaker goes to 0 rather than what it was previously.
The stop playing and player close issue occurs just after I turn up the volume in this video but is unrelated to that (occurs without changing the volume too).
In addition to the above troubleshooting (different Sonos models, both Android and iOS affected) I also note it occurs with flac and mp3.
