Server Version#: 1.18.3.2156
Player Version#: 4.15.2
Tizen version: 5.0
Since my Plex player app upgraded on 12/30/2019 playback of existing and new DVR recordings have become unusable. I have two Plex servers each at the above server version each direct wired to my router. My Samsung TV accesses my network wirelessly. All of this is local and on the same network. Since the player upgrade on my Samsung, visual loading of the DVR libraries of either server has been flaky. I just get the spinning/loading cursor until I navigate away from the DVR recording library and back to it. Once I can see my library, if I try and play a DVR recording it now takes 25-45 seconds to start playing vs almost instantaneous prior to the upgrade (I just get the spinning/loading cursor until it starts to play). This occurs regardless of which server I attempt to play from. If I use the “Skip ahead 30 section” button on the (Samsung) remote, this also takes a long time (30 seconds?) to jump. FF is likewise interminable. Generally if you wait long enough it will get there but sometimes you get an error screen “Failed multiple attempts to connect to the specified content server. Error code: Player_ERROR_CONNECTION_FAILED”.
The only change in my system/network configuration from before the 30th when all was working great and now is the app upgrade on Samsung Tizen. To hopefully provide you with some leads I enabled server logging in the player app settings and ran through the paces above: loading a library, choosing an item to play back, starting a playback, waiting for it to start, and skipping ahead in the playback. I did this 2-3 times (and switched servers as well) starting around 12:40pm until a little after 12:55pm. As I captured the logs 10-15 minutes later the pertinent information is close to the latest.
Please provide a fix soon or push a new version that is really just whatever there was before the 12/30 as that worked great.
