Unexpected playback problem since last update

Server Version#: 1.41.0.8992
Player Version#: 5.88.1

Since the update the player on samsung tvs(I have two) randomly stops playback with the following error:

“An unexpected playback problem occured”

I had no other changes when the issue started happening. Since that I updated the server to latest and restarted it a number of times.

I can dig around the logfiles if someone points me to the right direction.

I’ve noticed this happens often at the last few minutes of any playing media, and it happens after adjusting subtitles. Among a couple other hiccups

I’ve started to see this again. I’m on

  • server version 1.41.3.9292 (Ubuntu 22.04 native install)
  • Tizen client app version - 5.89.1
  • platform version 4
  • My tv is a 2018 Samsung.

It basically happens at the end of the episode, last few minutes it stops playing, starts to buffer and ends with the “Playback Error” message “An unexpected playback problem occurred.” And then despite there being an “ok” button under the message, the only way I’ve found to actually dismiss the error and continue to use the app is to go into a different app on the tv, like Youtube and then go back into Plex.

I can share the media file if that’s helpful too.
