Playback stutters on Xbox One

I’m experiencing this issue on my Xbox One S. With the new update, when I’m playing TV shows primarily you will see subtle stuttering or what appears to be frame drops.

I haven’t noticed this issue on movies just with TV shows. I never had this issue with the previous version of the app, everything played smoothly. It’s not visible all the time but most notable when watching something that has fast movement.

The problem also seems to be worsened when resuming an episode in the middle as opposed to starting an episode from the very beginning. It’s almost as though it’s trying to catch up to its previous place and is stuttering in the process to resume smoothly.

I was just experiencing this issue, and it seemed to go away when I disabled Direct Stream and Mode Switching in the settings of the Xbox One app. So far, so good

Almost a month later, I am still not having any more issues. Even with high bitrate movies.

Apparently, I spoke too soon. I am still having streaming issues with these items disabled. Back to the drawing board.

I guess kind of error reported ‘the file is not available’ ?

I also reported a stutters issue, but it is for 4K HDR video format.
