Player button missing from Plex web

Re-load Plex Web.

Where did you make the *.plex.tv and *.plex.direct changes in the browsers?

This is only if you use something like NoScript where you greenlight script execution on a by-host basis.
I surf in “paranoia mode” with NoScript enabled.
you may have to enable script execution for localhost and server's private IP as well, depending on whether you load plex web over https or http and whether you use the local or the hosted Plex Web.
Which gives me an idea: Have you tried and used the hosted version, to see if it behaves differently?

I load over http, so no SSL issues there. I’ve also tried the hosted version with the same results.

I just installed Plex server 0.9.16.6 on one of my Windows 10 machines, and if I select that test server I get the cast icon. I then upgraded it to 0.9.17.0, and it still works. This looks like a Server 2012R2 Essentials issue. Now I just have to figure out what that issue is…

I asked internally. I’ll let you know if I get more info.

@OttoKerner, I have an update. I installed the beta Windows 10 Plex app and it sees all of my devices.
