I’m running a Plex Server on a QNAP Nas, and usually watch on my MacBook Air through the Plex Player. I have been using it for years and loving it.
Since a couple of months ago though a few minutes into watching something I can no longer see the player controls popping up when moving the cursor. When hovering over the area where they normally are I can see the cursor changing and I can click the controls. So they work, but I can’t see them. I know in a lot of applications MacOS has problems with layers, what is actually on top is not always shown on top and so on.
Also the shortcuts don’t work, only Play/Pause on Space Bar, jump in time on left and right arrows, and the volume on the up and down arrows.
If this topic has already been brought up I apologize, I couldn’t find anything about it, just the opposite, that people have problems with player controls never disappearing.
Any help or suggestions are appreciated.
MacOS Version: High Sierra (10.13.6)
Server Version#: 1.26.0
Player Version#: 1.44.0.2981-e2d72ac2
Having also the same exact issue on my Mac player. No control visible, only keyboard shortcuts. I can actually click on the ‘invisible’ control bar if my mouse on just on the right control button. So it looks like a layer issue. I Am on a 2010 iMac and suspect it might have to do with the amd graphic card… not sure anyone from the Plex has even acknowledged this issue
