Player Mac stops running recording

Looks like Plex app (Mac) kills a running recording started from Plex Server. I had something recorded scheduled in Plex Server. When I started Plex app and opened “Live TV & DVR” in there, my recording stopped immediately. I could reproduce it on a second try.

iMac on Catalina. Works fine otherwise.

Please post full PMS logs (BUT check to make sure VERBOSE IS OFF first) after replicating the issue.

I don’t have logs – I can get them if you need them – but I’ve had the exact same problem for weeks. Every time I open Plex for Mac during a scheduled recording, the recording fails. This doesn’t happen when I open the web app. I’m running Plex for Mac 1.3.1, macOS Catalina, and server 1.18.1.1973 (though this has happened with previous server versions, too).

Still having this bug with player 1.4.0.924-60046db9 and server 1.18.2.2041 on macOS Catalina. The instant I start Plex for Mac, the light on my HDHomeRun PRIME tuner indicating a tuner is in use goes out, and the recording in progress fails. When I check why the recording failed, it says only, “There was a transcoder error.”
