Hello,
Finally got DVR setup with the below, I’m unable to stream most channels
- HDHomeRun CONNECT Quatro
- Linux system with:
** Intel(R) Core™ i3-6100 CPU @ 3.70GHz
** 8GB Ram
** WD Red NAS Harddrives
Network:
Ubiquity APs - should be no issue here
Player:
- Web - same as android/roku
- Android - loads first frame and freezes
- Roku streaming stick+ - sits on a random % with no success, sometimes gets to video but it’s mostly square artefacts and distorted noises
I’ve tried hardware acceleration on the server with no success - is my server the limiting factor here?
This just looks like bad OTA reception to me. If you use the HDHomerun apps themselves are you able to get good images?
Without HW acceleration turned on you have enough CPU for one maybe two live streams. Just checking the HW box doesn’t guarantee it was working.
What OS? Native install or Docker?
On the Roku, did you enable mpeg2 playback and set quality to original?
Server transcoder settings?
Uploading the debug logs will save a lot of guessing. Troubleshooting > Download logs
@azinck how did I not consider the source was the issue… just loaded up the HDHomerun app and it’s the same. I’ll get poking the coax and report back
@pl_5309 Thanks for the response, it’s a native install on ubuntu. Will answer other questions following the HDHomerun source fix
