When viewing live tv thru my web browser (chrome, firefox, opera) it struggles badly but on my desktop player it works fine … what is the reason for this?

All browsers have virtually the same Suck Index, yes…
I don’t use a Browser to watch content.
If I’m at the Desktop I have Plex For ‘Whatever’.
If I need the SuperDuperest Plex Player App - I drag PMP to the TV.
There’s literally a ‘Device’ of some kind everywhere around here - and half of them will Direct Play an MPEG-2 stream.
The right tool for the job at hand - that’s my motto…
