Playlist Custom Posters Not Showing on App

I’ve added custom posters to my playlists and they show up on the web app, but when on the iOS app or android TV app the playlist reverts to the old 4-movie-collage poster. What gives? How can I make the posters show up everywhere?

The iOS client does not yet support those custom posters – no idea why. I suppose it’s fair to assume this gap will be closed – though there’s no certainty nor a definite ETA.

Well that stinks.
Hopefully, that feature would get added. I never watch on the web app, that’s just where I organize my library.
Thanks for the info!

Same issue here. I was over creative in putting some nice posters for my playlists together just to find out it doesn’t go on any of my applications :frowning: grrrrr… I should have just had a beer and watch a movie instead.

I have the same issue except I use Android. You stated it is not supported for IOS but you did not say android . . … Am I to assume the same statement?

I switched back to Playlist from Collections because they can be placed on the home screen as a quick way to play the list, unlike how Collections including smart collections are implemented on the home screen.

Since this behavior is inconsistent (not happening on all platforms) I can only assume this is a bug not a feature that just hasn’t been implemented yet. Bugs me.

Well, I observed a visual change when I changed the playlist poster, and the image came through to the android plex player and have a hunch that the resolution or the image type may have something to do it. I have not had time to confirm my observation. I do remember that there was some info on the support site that explained the requirements but cannot find them now.
