I have read posts about the GEAR and look for it to see if a playlist is locked, etc… So please don’t suggest this is my problem. It is NOT!
I created a Star Trek playlist that contains 742 items. I added every item manually in the correct VIEWING order. I got one of the files after all the rest have been added and need to move it from 742 to 468. While creating the list I did have a few items I had to manually drag and drop a few positions away as I put it in the wrong place. Now that the playlist is done I just need to move this one file. And I can’t. I have tried multiple times, Closed plex, reopened. Shut down the server, started it up again. Nothing will allow me to move ANY episodes at all. There is no gear…this is NOT a smart list. I have made many lists and NEVER even seen a smart list that I have read about. And that includes when I created them by adding a full series/season of a show at one time as I have read that’s how they are created.
Any ideas why drag and drop worked fine for the first hour I was creating this…but stopped working after the second hour??
That sounds odd. When you hover over the item does the little hamburger icon appear on the left of the item? Are you able to move the item around and just have an issue with it staying there or does the item not allow drag and dropping at all?

Oh yeah, I can actually drag an item anywhere…but when I let go it shoots right back to where it comes from. And again, this is after a it worked just fine. I don’t know when it stopped working, because I used it a few times during the first hour after creating the Playlist but then didn’t need it again until I was all done with it. I wonder if it’s a number of items on the list issue, because I have another list with 10 items…I have ALWAYS been able to drag and drop them with no issues at all.
I did find that in the PLEX APP itself I CAN move them. But that is so horrible a GUI that I honestly think I have launched it 3 times ever. Don’t like it at all. And when using it if you click out of the window the LIST view of the Playlist closes. Thus, you have to click on the list again and hope to remember where you were. It’s a small window and pretty much useless.
