I have been really digging PlexAmp of late, so much so I am putting a lot of work into my Music Library and especially Playlists.
Playlists seem to lack some basic functionality:
Searching a playlist - when you have over 100s of songs in a existing Playlist it can be tedious to try and work out if you already have a song in it especially when the same song can appear on multiple compilation albums.
Moving songs from one playlist to another - So sometimes I put a song in the wrong playlist and when I spot this mistake there seems to be no way from within the Playlist to move to the right one you have to remove it, go find it and then add to the correct.
This is now made worse as today I want to merge several playlists and create one ultimate Rock of the Ages list but selecting all songs in a Playlist only gives me the option of removing them, there is no option to move to another.
Editing the position of a track in a playlist - I don’t know about you guys but moving a track position in a long list seems really buggy especially when you have to scroll beyond what you can see om your screen.
These two options would be super useful.
I agree that there should be a way to search playlists for existing songs. I actually think it would be nice if there was an option to see all “locations” of a track. Maybe an action from the existing long press menu that would show every album (original release, best of, etc.) that a track is included on as well as all playlists that the track has been added to. So the long press (or three dot menu) would have an “appears on” option to show this info. Just a thought.
Also, the option to “add to playlist” should be available from wherever the track is being viewed (i.e. the album, the “up next” or “back to” portions of the queue, as well as existing playlists that the track appears on) and the “remove from playlist” option should be available from within every playlist.
I will suggest that on the regular plex player on the web, it is possible to save your entire queue as a playlist. So if you want to merge playlists, you can simply add the individual playlists that you want to merge to your queue, and then save that queue as a new playlist.
It would be nice, though, if this “save queue as a playlist” feature could be added to plexamp

Thanks man, some great responses in your post. I especially like the “See where a song is” option that would be superb to see all the playlists that it is in.
And thanks so much for the idea of adding a playlist to a queue and then being able to add that queue to a playlist, managed to make short work of making my 60s - 2010s Rock playlist.
