Plexamp is great for listening to all my music whenever I want too. Definitely makes it a lot simpler
However there are a couple features that I do still miss having moved over from using poweramp on my phone.

This is being able to reorganise playlists easily based on like title name or album name instead of only having it ordered based on the order I’ve added the songs in. [mod-edit: duplicate, see below]
Alongside that there is also the ability to delete any duplicate songs which makes it’s a lot easier to add music since I don’t have to remember everything I have on. [mod-edit: duplicate, see below]
The final thing I miss is while listening to the playlist is being able to remove a song from the playlist as it’s playing if I don’t want it in there anymore

Other then those few things I think plexamp is great especially the sonically similar music which makes it really easy to listen to similar music without effort

You can rearrange the items in a playlist.

  • regular playlists should show an option to drag items around
  • smart playlists can be configured to use a different sort order when you edit their filter criteria.

There’s an existing feature suggestion to allow sort options for regular playlists too.

Similarly, there’s an existing feature suggestion to prevent duplicate tracks from being added.

You can already do that using the regular play queue or smart playlists

Thank you for linking the feature suggestions since they are what I’m hoping for.

Unfortunately I can’t do it using the regular queue and smart playlists don’t suit how I make my playlists. Since in the regular play queue I’d like to be able to permanently remove the song from the saved playlist and not the queued one

So what you’re looking for isn’t so much a playlist but a “watchlist” (listening-list) – kind of the play queue but more persistent (still removing items you’ve listened to).

I mean if I pick a playlist and play it. I want to be able to remove a song from that playlist if I decide while it’s playing I no longer want it in that playlist
