Playlist playback non-stop

In older versions of Plex you could go into your playlist and select any episode you wanted to start at & Plex would keep playing the following episodes non-stop. Now I only see this feature if I select shuffle. I want to be able to watch my shows in a playlist i created in order back to back without me having to select play every few episodes. Like it used to be. Can anyone help with this? Why did Plex get rid of this feature?? Thank you to anyone who can help. I am running the latest version of Plex on Server 2012 R2. Apologies if this is in the wrong category. I searched for playlist & playback with no results.

The stops are part of a feature called post-play. It helps prevent unwanted plays in case you fall asleep while watching or forget to turn off the player.

To prevent this, use an actual playlist. It shouldn’t stop then.

Thanks for replying. I am using an actual playlist that i created. still does the post play.

What client are you using. That sounds like a bug.

When you ask what client do you mean which Plex client? I am running Windows Server 2012 R2 with Plex version Version 1.15.4.994. Hope thats what you meant. If not please let me know. In the last 2 years I have ran 3 different servers. All Windows clients. I don’t remember what version it was but I do remember it happened when they changed the GUI layout. I know that doesn’t help much. Thanks again for your help.

plex uses a client/server architecture.

plex media server is the server.

plex media player, or plex app are the client app that is being played back on, like a roku or nvidia shield, or ios or android, and what version of the app and os.

if you are using only the player via web browser, that also has its own version, @ settings > web client > general.

ok gotcha. I use Apple TV, Samsung Smart TV & Google Chrome web client Version 3.100.1. This issue happens on all clients.
