Video Playlists in general

on a Win 10 server with Firestick playback…

Kind of general question and observation…

I love music and music videos… Big time oldies fan, etc. So, I recently figured out how to download the actual video files from YouTube. So, now, I have a growing playlist of music videos and have created a sizable playlist… (currently at about 9 hours of video’s, or, about 100+ video files)

I just store them on my local server in the home video category…

what happens is, Plex will play the list, (I use shuffle), but, after a certain amount of time, the play back stops.

I have to manually select the next video in the list to start playback…

Is there any way to prevent this?

Plex clients will stop playing videos if there is no user interaction after 2 hours. To avoid this, create a playlist and shuffle that instead of the library. The 2 hour limit is ignored for playlists, or at least it should be. If that doesn’t work, please provide the log from the app after it fails to play, Android, Android TV, Fire TV Logs | Plex Support.

I am using a playlist shuffled as the list has about 135+ videos in it… I’ll post that if I can catch it at a later date… thanks…
