I’m finding myself still puzzled about playlists in Plex so would appreciate answers to a couple of questions:-
If I try to import iTunes’s playlists, it first asks what library to add to. What does this mean? I want to import the playlists, i.e. the lists of tracks to play. It’s not moving the music files and what does it have to do with a Plex library?
When creating a library, there is an option to ‘Import from iTunes’. Does this set up the library with all the iTunes music and also add the playlists? So different from the above which only imports the playlists?
In either case, are these playlists imported from iTunes (assuming the import works) in any way dynamic? Are the selection criteria of iTunes SMART playlists imported, or just the static list of tracks? In either case, are those playlists then updated if the iTunes originals are changed? So if playlists are changed or added in iTunes, does that reflect in Plex or do you need to import the playlists again (overwriting any existing ones)?
