would be nice if Playlists can be seen by my hole family…
Right now my wife has a play-list but I cant see it when I log in I would have to log in to hers.
there is no way to copy the playlist of save it or move them or back them up.
if I make a playlist of 90’s music my wife would like to play them and not have to log in to my account.
same for my friends i share media with. if i make a play list why cant it show up for them too?

that has never worked I have tried it and no one sharing my plex media can see it

Note: that if you are restricting a user via preset Restriction Profile or custom share restrictions, items meeting the restriction will not be able to be seen by the shared account. For example if a server admin tries to share a playlist that contains an R rated movie to user that can only view G and PG rated content, the R movie will not be seen in the playlist by that shared user.
Plus, only the server owner can share anything.
This is only for Music. every thing is open and no rating are restricted

I assume you meant “wife’s”.
Are you sharing a web browser with your wife?
This means that you also only have the user privileges of your wife in Plex. If the server has been set up with your own account, you can only create shares using your own account.
No just one the web page I log in using my info and when i go to this discussion I’m now logged in as her but forget about that.
all this is about is when i or the wife makes a play list we can see them or I can add to hers or she to mine…
it is funny i see people asking for plex to be able to do this over the internet all the way from 2017 and its never happened…
ok well all I am asking for is the Devs a way to back up a music play list and more convenient for people to access a playlist like they would play any media on the server…
I just deleted a playlist with 14hr of music because I was just trying to unsync it from my phone. she has a copy of it on her account but there is no way for me to get that now… so now i have to go line by line and rebuild it…
You could revert to an older version of the main database file, thus undoing the deletion. (Unless you had additional large changes on your server within the last few days.)

As someone that has migrated to Plex, the recreation of playlists from other pieces of software had been painful. Some kind of playlist import/export should be built into the product.
When my Shield (as the server) ended up with a corrupted database, I lost my playlists when I needed to set the server up again from scratch. Thanks to PlexAmp and screen shots, I at least have the songs and preferred order for those lists.
