Plex has generated 1337 playlists where none existed before. They are all 22 minutes long and have the same content. They are named User_01, User_02 and so on.
Any idea why this happened? And more to the point, how do I get rid of them other than deleting them one at a time.
That sounds very strange indeed. If this happened recently your log files might shed some light on how this happened, so if you could share those it could help track down the reason.

My server is on Ubuntu 16.04. Logs also show an error that has recently appeared for “cant find device profile”. I use PlexKodiConnect on my Shield TV, but have switched back to the plex app because of log file being written to every 2 seconds. I have a device xml profile that worked until very recently, but for some reason is not being found/read lately. If you want any further info, just let me know and I will provide what I can.
Log file is attached.
FYI. With errors everywhere lately, this has pushed me to do a long overdue clean install of Ubuntu 18.04 and Plex and all else for my media server. Also wiped my shield and will do fresh installs there as well.
You can certainly look at the logs to see what generated all the playlists and other errors, but a fresh start is in order on my end.
Thanks for responding!
Well… Did a complete wipe of my server, updated to 18.04LTS, reinstalled Plex, added libraries and so on, wiped my Shield device, fresh install of plex and apps, added a device profile for PlexKodiConnect on the server, and still no luck.
Plex generated only 887 playlists this time, so I guess that is better…Stopped the music scan and
I deleted the music library, and added it again but unchecked the option to use embedded tags. With that done, it did not generate random playlists.
That said, I still get the “cant find device profile” error written to the log every 2 seconds.
Lots of curl errors, and sqlite errors.
I have run Plex on Linux for quite a few years, and have not had issues like this in the past, so not sure what has changed.
