I have a roku that I’m using now for plex and it works great. I’ve been thinking of getting another player and the playstation has so many other great features, but I’m not sure how the plex performance compares. I was hoping some of you could comment on how well plex works on the ps4. My wife and kids use it so it needs to be reliable. All my files are 1080p mp4’s. Thanks!
If you’re looking for 1080p max and only Dolby and DTS sound you’ll be fine. Problem comes into play with 4K and Atmos/DTS HD audio. My PS4 is my secondary Plex player. Nvidia Shield is my number 1. The ultimate you can say.
ps4 is not at all "a reliable player " when compare to roku your better off with a second roku its cheaper and faster
