PS5 Player Version#: 1.002.000
PS5 System Software Version: 21.01-03.21.00.00-00.00.00.0.1
My Playstation 5 player simply will not connect to the server running on my Linux installation. It says:
$serverName is Currently Unavailable
Please verify that the server is running and has a network connection
The Playstation 5 is on the same network and subnet as the server. Other Plex player applications (i.e., iPad, Android) are unaffected and connect and play content as expected.
Without me changing anything on the server, this has begun to show up. I tried removing the PS5 app’s authorization, and re-adding it as a device, to no avail. For what it’s worth, the PS5 application has been unpolished since the console’s launch. Any help in finding a resolution for this is greatly appreciated. @Moussa anything you can think of? I can’t even use this application.
This happens to me or the app itself won’t start, citing a network failure. This has been plaguing me for weeks and I don’t have any solutions. I have tried changing the DNS to no avail.
I do find the application works for about 30 seconds after switching networks or toggling the internet.
App was working for me for several weeks. Just stopped working a few days ago - same issue. PS5 had a September system update right before it happened.
Same here. Plex server running on Synology on the same network. It was working just fine until the latest update. Other devices (PC, phone, 2 Rokus) all work just fine.
Same here, just set up my PS5 and trying to connect to Synology (DS220+) and I’m getting the same error message.
It’s quite annoying as PS5 has blocked all other links to local server, I really hoped that Plex will be the solution … I guess not.
