For those of us who share our Plex servers with friends and family, it would be super useful to have a maintenance mode we can put the server into when we are doing backend work that could effect Plex and the video/audio server needs to reject requests. Ideally you could set a short message to be displayed when someone tried to use the server file it is down.
Another related feature that would be nice to have a is a push message that goes out to any clients connected to your server. That way you can warn them if a reboot is about to occur, etc.
A request for the same feature exists already, and it has more votes.
